Sure, Vegas is loud. Flashy. Nonstop. But sometimes, the best kind of night out is the one tucked behind a secret door. That’s where Las Vegas’ speakeasy scene comes in. Whether you’re walking through a pizzeria, slipping behind a barbershop, or finding yourself face-to-face with a velvet curtain and a password prompt, these hidden speakeasies bring charm, surprise, and serious flavor.
We’re sharing the best speakeasies in Las Vegas, starting with two we personally visited and loved, plus five more you can’t miss on your next trip.

7 Best Speakeasy’s in Las Vegas
The speakeasy scene in Las Vegas is one for the books, much like the rest of Vegas. They offer a vibrant atmosphere, a great drink menu, and the overall speakeasy concept makes for a great way to end the day after one of the many shows in Las Vegas.
Some of this list you’ll find in a secret location, some with the best cocktails in the city, and others with the exclusive speakeasy feel. They all make for the perfect place to relax during your Las Vegas Strip vacation:
- Chez Bippy – MGM Grand
- The Ski Lodge – The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
- Ghost Donkey – The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
- The Laundry Room – Downtown Las Vegas (inside Commonwealth)
- The Cabinet of Curiosities – Horseshoe Las Vegas
- The Count Room – Flamingo Las Vegas (inside Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse)
- Mas Por Favor – Chinatown Las Vegas
1. Chez Bippy – MGM Grand

- Vibe: Cozy glam, 1920s vibes, hidden through a pizza place
- Highlights: Creative cocktails, secret entrance, great service
We’ll be honest: we didn’t expect a speakeasy behind a pizza counter to give us this much mood. But Chez Bippy absolutely delivers.
You enter through Luchini Pizzeria at the MGM Grand and step into what feels like a velvet-draped time machine. It’s all red velvet booths, a giant chandelier, and subtle Gatsby-era energy. The bar’s creative drinks are part of the fun. One came with a block of ice stamped with red lips, and they poured strawberry syrup over it for a lipstick-like effect. It was cheeky and delicious, with a solid pour to back it up.
The service? Super attentive. And the vibe? Way more elevated than the casual pizza place you pass through. This one felt like a true hidden gem. Easy to miss, but worth finding.
2. The Ski Lodge – The Cosmopolitan

- Vibe: Cozy dive meets apres-ski bar
- Highlights: Christmas lights, mountain screen, inventive drinks
Let’s set the scene: you’re walking down a nondescript hallway in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, past a line of restaurants, and suddenly, a black, unmarked door.
You’ve found The Ski Lodge.
We waited about 30 minutes (it’s not well organized, and the door is locked until an attendant lets you in), but once inside, it’s like stepping into a tiny ski-themed dive bar in the Alps. Christmas lights, a glowing fireplace, and a screen showing snowy mountains create that cozy-lodge feel. It fits about 30 people max, which keeps things intimate.
The cocktail menu is fun and inventive. We had a sweet martini-style drink and s’mores for dessert.
The vibe is cool, but was it worth the wait? Maybe. If you love a unique venue and want a little winter in the desert, it’s a fun pick. Just don’t come starving or impatient.

3. Ghost Donkey – The Cosmopolitan

- Vibe: Neon-lit tequila cave with major personality
- Highlights: Mezcal cocktails, fun decor, good music
Ghost Donkey is part taco joint, part tequila treasure trove. Tucked away inside The Cosmopolitan (notice a trend?), this one is loud, colorful, and downright fun.
You’ll enter through a small door and be greeted by pink neon, Christmas lights, and a wall of agave bottles.
Drinks are mezcal-heavy but balanced, with some wild ingredients like mole bitters and hibiscus syrup. It’s not a “sit and whisper” speakeasy. Think Tulum party meets secret bar, with serious cocktails. It’s a great place to bring a group or start your night with a vibe.
4. The Laundry Room – Downtown Las Vegas

- Vibe: Prohibition-era chic in a secret room
- Highlights: Text-for-entry, candlelight, incredible mixology
Hidden inside Commonwealth on Fremont Street, The Laundry Room is tiny and we mean that in the best way.
Just 22 seats and no walk-ins. You text a number to get a reservation and follow instructions to the hidden bar tucked behind a bookshelf.
Inside, it’s candlelit, quiet, and wildly curated. The in-house bartender chats about what you like and custom builds a drink for you.
No photos, no loud talking, and definitely no TikTok filming. Just you, your drink, and a good time.

5. The Cabinet of Curiosities – Horseshoe Las Vegas

- Vibe: Museum meets mixology, hidden room included
- Highlights: Hidden room behind a painting, quirky decor, fun experience
The Cabinet of Curiosities is part oddities museum, part cocktail bar.
Located inside the Horseshoe, you first wander through a space filled with taxidermy, vintage oddities, and weird art, then, if you know the secret, access The Lock, a speakeasy hidden behind a bookcase.
Inside, it’s dark and moody with a speakeasy vibe, and the bartenders are all about craft cocktails with flair. They’ll walk you through the story of your drink as if you’re part of a mystery dinner theater. It’s playful, dramatic, and a unique experience for sure.

6. The Count Room – Flamingo Las Vegas

- Vibe: Mob-style chic with a modern edge
- Highlights: Hidden behind a bookshelf, live musicians, Gatsby energy
A hidden bar inside Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse, The Count Room is pure old-school cool. Think Al Capone’s parlor, but with modern twists.
You’ll pass a faux meat locker and slip behind a bookcase to find plush leather booths, soft jazz, and a live band most nights.
The classic cocktails are executed perfectly (get the Old Fashioned), and the space itself is moody without being too dark. It’s a perfect spot for date night, especially if you want a little drama with your bourbon.
7. Mas Por Favor – Chinatown

- Vibe: Taco shop meets underground lounge
- Highlights: Hidden backroom, candy cigarettes, themed cocktails
Más Por Favor starts as a simple taco counter in Chinatown, but walk through a “storage door” in the back and you’ll find a moody, vibey lounge full of Christmas lights, plush booths, and a crowd of in-the-know locals.
Their speakeasy, known as Kitty Kitty Vice Den, mixes edgy visuals (think lucha libre and lipstick graffiti) with strong drinks and a super playful tone. Try the “candy cigarette cocktail”.Yes, it comes with the real deal. It’s bold, fun, and absolutely fits the hidden speakeasy category.

You might come to Vegas for the slots or shows, but if you’re chasing that unforgettable experience, you’ll find it behind an unmarked door and a velvet rope.
From ski lodges on the Strip to underground lounges in Chinatown, these best speakeasies in Las Vegas bring the vibe, the drinks, and the surprise factor every night out deserves.
Whether you’re looking for a cocktail lounge with live performances, a divey tequila den, or a sleek hideaway with piano players and a dress code, there’s something here that fits your energy. Our advice? Pick one or two, show up with a soft spot for adventure, and let the secret bars of Vegas take it from there. A hidden entrance is a sign of the prohibition era with exceptional cocktails, possibly strict rules, and a one-of-a-kind evening on the Las Vegas Strip worthy of a story to tell.
