The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is a five-star luxury hotel that enjoys a prime central location on the Las Vegas Strip.
Formerly the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, this modern hotel offers all the luxurious facilities that you’d expect from one of the best hotels in Las Vegas.
I have visited the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas on two occasions. The first time was in 2019 when my husband and I stayed with our two sons in a two-bedroom Presidential Suite, and then I visited again in 2025, where I stayed in a Villa One Bedroom Suite.
Read on to discover more about this luxury hotel in Las Vegas and whether I’d recommend booking the Waldorf Astoria for your next Las Vegas trip.
A Prime Location on the Las Vegas Strip

The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is located in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. It’s just a short walk from some of the city’s top sights, such as the Fountains of Bellagio and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Hotel.
This hotel is a great place to stay if you want to watch the top shows in Las Vegas, try your luck in the city’s casinos, or go shopping in The Shops at Crystals mall.
Of course, a location in the heart of the Strip also means that the hotel’s slightly further away from the airport than a hotel like the Four Seasons Las Vegas at the south end of the Strip.
However, we’re still only talking about a 15-minute drive, and I think the extra drive time is worth the convenience of the central location.
Checking In at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
Whether you drive to the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas and take advantage of the valet parking or take a taxi from the airport, you’ll enter the Waldorf Astoria through the stylish Art Deco-inspired lobby.
The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas recently underwent a full $1 billion renovation, and the hotel lobby was moved to the ground floor from the 23rd floor.

It’s now a beautiful, airy space with long stretches of polished Italian marble, gold accents, stunning floral arrangements, and eye-catching artwork.
The check-in process is very smooth, and the hotel staff were happy to answer any of our questions.
A Suite at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

We booked a two-bedroom Presidential Suite for our first stay at the Waldorf Astoria. This sophisticated option is perfect for groups of up to 4 people.
As we were traveling with our sons on this occasion, having two separate bedrooms was a major benefit of booking the Presidential Suite at the Waldorf Astoria. Suites at other hotels sometimes have pull-out beds in the living space instead of a second bedroom, which means that the living area is unusable after the kids have gone to sleep.

At the Waldorf Astoria, we could continue enjoying the rest of the suite while the kids were sound asleep in their own bedroom.
Luxurious Bedrooms

The spacious 3100-square-foot Presidential Suite has two separate bedrooms, each equipped with a comfortable king bed and high quality linens. Each room also has a large closet, and other amenities like flat-screen TVs, premium cable channels, and state-of-the-art tech controls for the lighting and air conditioning.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom, and the main bathroom has a stunning sunken bath overlooking the city. Separate showers are also available in each bathroom, and bath amenities such as complimentary toiletries, robes, and slippers are all included in various room rates.
First-Class Facilities

As well as the two bedrooms and a large living space, the Presidential suite boasts a full kitchen, a full-sized cocktail bar, a small office area, and even a private fitness area.
Suites at the Waldorf Astoria also enjoy stunning views over the city center or the famous Las Vegas Strip. You can see just how close we were to the Eiffel Tower and the Shops at Crystals mall.

The only downside to our first stay at the Waldorf Astoria was the slightly dated decor, which featured a lot of dark woods. However, the recent refurbishment and redecoration mean the suites and guest rooms now have an elegant look with neutral shades, jewel-toned accents, and stylish new furniture.
Despite the dated decor, the two-bedroom layout and plenty of space made the Presidential Suite a great choice for our family trip.
A King Bedroom at the Waldorf Astoria

In fact, I enjoyed our stay so much that we returned to the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas for the second time in 2025. I wasn’t traveling with my family this time, so me and my friends booked a spacious King Bedroom and a Villa One Bedroom Suite.

The well-equipped King Bedrooms have a comfortable king bed, valet closet, and desk area. The luxurious bathroom has a large soaking tub and a stand-alone shower.

These 500-square-foot rooms also have stylish decor and amazing city center or Las Vegas Strip views through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Villa One Bedroom Suite
The Villa One Bedroom Suite truly exceeded expectations. The bedroom itself was serene and elegant, with a king bed and unexpectedly spacious walk in closet.

One of my favorite parts was the massive master bathroom with dual vanities, a soaking tub, and separate shower. Everything felt incredibly refined and private. There was also a half bathroom near the main area, which was convenient for guests.

The suite layout was thoughtful and luxurious without being over the top. I had a full dining area that comfortably seated six, a large kitchen, and even a bar with stools that made it feel like my own private cocktail lounge. There was also a large work desk tucked in behind the dining room table, which made answering a few emails actually enjoyable.

The living room was great for relaxing between plans, with plenty of natural light and plush seating.

Food and Drink at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas has several dining options, but the menus have less choice compared to other five-star hotels.

The Asian-inspired main restaurant, Zen Kitchen, is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast menu features Morning Classics like Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Burritos, or Wagyu Steak and Egg alongside pancakes and waffles fresh from the griddle.
Lighter options like oatmeal with fruit, avocado toast, and acai bowls are also available, and the small lunch selection includes sandwiches, poke bowls, and burgers.

Zen Kitchen’s dinner menu is also pretty short. It includes Asian-inspired starters like Japanese Caesar salad and a jumbo shrimp cocktail with yuzu cocktail sauce. Sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi are also on the evening menu, or you can choose one of the small selection of entrees and steaks.

Peacock Alley is the hotel’s elegant tea lounge. Here, you can enjoy a traditional afternoon tea or sip a tea-inspired cocktail while you enjoy great views of the Las Vegas Strip. The bar is open daily, but afternoon tea isn’t available on Monday or Tuesday.

Hard Shake is the 23rd-floor hotel bar offering handcrafted cocktails, wines by the glass, and a selection of beers and spirits. The bar also offers a small menu of lounge bites like Wagyu sliders, tater tots with caviar, and hummus mezze. The Hard Shake bar is closed on Sunday and Monday.
You can also grab breakfast or a light lunch at the Zen cafe or order poolside drinks at the Pool Cafe. Room service is also available.
Top-Class Facilities at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Hotel

As you’d imagine, the Waldorf Astoria Las Vega offers an excellent range of facilities. These include a well-equipped fitness center that offers personal training, a range of fitness classes, and yoga sessions in a dedicated yoga room.
The 27,000-square-foot world-class spa has a vitality pool (similar to a hot tub), steam room, dry sauna, and a Laconium room. That’s a gentler alternative to steam rooms and saunas, which has a lower temperature for a more comfortable environment.

The hotel’s wellness vibe continues in the eighth floor pool area. The main pool is relatively small compared to other luxury hotels in Las Vegas, like the Four Seasons, but there are sun loungers and beach chairs, a smaller kids’ pool, and cabanas available to rent.
A resort fee of around $50 per night includes a daily newspaper, phone calls, access to the fitness center, and a range of fitness and yoga classes. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and also in the hotel’s public areas.
Other facilities include laundry, babysitting, and concierge services. However, pets are not allowed at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas.
Service at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
The service is one of the shining stars at The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. The hotel elevates service to the next level with little touches like a staff member offering frozen fruit or cleaning your sunglasses while you relax in the pool area.
We were welcomed to our suite by a bottle of champagne and a tower of sweet treats, and the evening turndown service ensured our day ended as well as it started.
If you’re a Hilton Honors Diamond member, you’ll also enjoy a daily food and beverage credit and other perks like a room upgrade or late checkout, subject to availability.
It always felt like nothing was too much trouble for the friendly hotel staff, who responded quickly to our requests. Exceptional service is generally expected at high-end hotels, and we were delighted with the service at The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas.
Would I recommend the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas?
Both times we had a great time at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. Its central Las Vegas location, spacious suites and rooms, friendly hotel staff, and excellent facilities made it the perfect place for our Las Vegas trips.
Both the Presidential Suite and the Villa One Bedroom Suite + King Bedroom had plenty of room for our groups, and the facilities in each were excellent. The suite decor looked a little tired when we first visited, but by our second visit in 2025, the hotel’s elegant redesign had brought the decor up to date.
The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas hotel pool is quite small, and the dining options are limited, although there’s plenty of choice in the surrounding area. If these are priorities for your trip, you might prefer to look at other Las Vegas Hotels, such as the Four Seasons Las Vegas.
My full comparison of the Waldorf Astoria vs the Four Seasons Las Vegas will help you make your choice.
Overall, I really enjoyed both visits to the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas and would recommend it for your next Las Vegas visit.
