Immersive Gamebox London Review

Getting There
Located in the South Bank neighborhood, the Immersive Gamebox venue is accessible by the Southwark Tube Station. But a word of advice: finding the right entrance can be a little tricky!
There are two doors labeled โGamebox,โ and we initially ended up at the wrong one โ it was their annex building for busy times. We went into the left door, aka the annex, so you might want to try the right door off at the first chance!
Luckily, a staff member ended up directing us to the main entrance after some time. With that, I would suggest checking out both sides of the venue upon arrival in order to make sure you are at the right location, as it seemed like it could go either way depending on the time of day and how busy Immersive Gamebox is at the time!
Once youโre in, though, the excitement builds as youโre greeted by bright neon lights and a high-energy atmosphere that instantly hints at the immersive experience to come.
First Impressions
Upon entering, itโs clear that Immersive Gamebox is designed for groups of 2-6 players and is perfect for all ages so that the whole family will have fun depending on the group size.
The staff were friendly, guiding us through access requirements and explaining the different interactive games they offer. They set us up with headbands that track our movement for each interactive adventure, and a quick safety rundown emphasized the importance of wearing sensible footwear โ flat shoes are best since youโll be moving around quite a bit.
My kids, ages 7 and 10, were the perfect age to enjoy this โ but even as an adult, I found it to be a blast! We had a great time as a family! I’d say, perfect family experience in London.
What to Expect

Each interactive experience lasts about 60 minutes, which gives you plenty of time to get into the games.
We played two different games: a fun rescue mission with aliens and another inspired by the hit TV show Squid Game.
Every session has projection mapping on the walls and ceiling that brings the gameโs world to life in a 3D-like effect. This high level of immersive experience kept us all engaged as the kids and I collaborated on missions, aiming for mission success.
The gameplay itself feels like stepping into a video game. Each family member has a role to play, and the activities required us to work as a team, using touch screens, motion tracking, and surround sound.
For the alien mission, each player received instructions like โred team, grab the alien eggโ or โblue team, protect the spaceship.โ The whole game box came alive with sound effects, lighting, and graphics, creating an extraordinary interactive experience that pulled us all in.
As you play, you can check your total scores on-screen to see how well youโre doing as a group. Itโs a mix of arcade challenges and mental grit, with games that range from family-friendly (think Paw Patrol and Charge of the Angry Birds) to more challenging adult options (like a CIA training program or Black Mirror Careers).
Conclusion

Our visit to Immersive Gamebox London was a fantastic way to spend a rainy day. Itโs affordable, fun, and perfect for families with kids of various ages. I loved that it got us moving and even working up a sweat, all while having a ton of fun!
The kids absolutely loved the neon colors and the action-packed vibe, and thereโs no doubt that it creates unforgettable memories.
With everything from a series of arcade-style games to sci-fi adventures, itโs the perfect blend of activity and adventure for a day out.
Whether youโre in London with kids or planning a unique date night, Immersive Gamebox London offers an interactive gaming experience that combines physical activity, mental challenges, and a whole lot of laughs.
Make it part of your London itinerary, and get ready for a family adventure that will have you talking about your scores, skills, and teamwork long after you leave.
